Baba Harare rose to limelight as a guitarist in Jah Prayzah's Third Generation band. He later left Jah Prayzah's band to pursue a solo career. Baba Harare released his debut album Chikwama Changu in January 2017. He followed up with second album, Minamato yaRasta, that gave him his breakout songs like The Reason Why, Banana and Usasiya Zvinonaka (Guzuzu).
