Brooklyn rapper Rowdy Rebel best known for being part of Bobby Shmurda's GS9 crew and hit song Computers has been released from prison after spending nearly six years behind bars.
Rowdy Rebel was arrested in 2014 and later pled guilty to conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon charges in 2016.
A viral video of Rowdy Rebel as he tasted his first moments of freedom was filmed outside prison.
Rebel shared a message from Bobby Shmurda on Instagram. The two talked on the phone after Rebel's release.
“I love all y’all, I love all my fans, I love all the support. We’ll be right there. Don’t even trip. Welcome home my big bro. You already know, you deserve it. We ’bout to turn up like no fucking tomorrow, ni**a.”
